Q - What time does the Catamaran depart from the beach? Unless there is a problem the Catamaran will depart at 9:00 am and return at approximately 12:00 am for the morning tour and from 2:00 pm till 6 pm for the sunset tour.

Q - How far in advance can I make require a reservation? You can book your tour up to 1 year in advance or one day ahead if space is available. We recommend a week ahead to confirm space and set up payment.

Q - Can I pay with my Credit Card? Yes, our booking platform is extremely safe and efficient, so all the transactions are 100% secure. 

Q - What if I have to cancel my reservation? We have someone to assist you 24/7/365. Just call 8375 6834 (from Costa Rica). If you call 24 hours prior to your tour - you will receive a FULL REFUND (for 5 people or less). If less than 24 hours - No refund. Unless there was an emergency (you will need to provide documentation). See more on cancellation policies at the bottom of this page.

Q - Can I pay cash when I arrive? Yes but we need a Credit Card to hold your reservation.

Q - Do you offer group discounts? Yes. The discount depends of the size of the group. Please contact us for specific prices.

Q - What if I do not show up? There are no refunds except in the case of an emergency (you will need to provide documentation for a Full or Partial Refund).

Q - Do you offer bus transportation to the beach? Yes. We offer bus transportation from many areas of Guanacaste to Playas del coco.

Q - Is this tour safe tour for my kids? Yes. We have guests from 3 months to 90 year old. Safe bus, safe catamaran rides.

Q - Do you provide life jackets for all passengers? Yes. We have 150 life jackets on board and 12 lifeboats. Q - What kind of insurance do you have? We have 3 different insurance policies for Vision Catamaran cruise passengers. Buses have their own insurance.

Q - What do I need to bring? Casual comfortable clothes, any suitable swimwear (bathing suit or shorts), sun block or suntan lotion, your camera, sun glasses, hat or cap (tight fitting so it won't blow off), light weight long sleeved shirt, rubber sandals, tennis or boat shoes (high heels or hard sole shoes are not permitted), towels. Extra Cash for: optional tours, souvenirs tee shirts, and tips.

Q - Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages? No. We have a full bar on board Vision Catamaran.

Q - Can we buy snacks and other food on board? NO , everything is included on board. Q - Is there a bathroom on the boat? Yes. We have 4 bathrooms on board.

Q - Do you play music or have live entertainment? Yes. We play a variety of music on board the Vision Catamaran.

Q - What can we do on the beach? We have plenty of activities for all passengers - a Snorkeling Tour, a paddle board, beach toys for kids, volley ball…We also serve a delicious, freshly prepared gourmet lunch. There is time for swimming and to enjoy the calm turquoise waters and beautiful white sand beach.

Q - Do you offer vegetarian or kosher meals? What if I have a special diet? Yes. When making your reservation, please indicate your preferred meal and we will alert our kitchen staff to prepare a special snack for you.

Q - Will we see any turtles, monkeys, dolphins or other wildlife? Depending on the season, it is possible to see dolphins, whales, sea turtles and a large variety of sea birds.

Q - What happens if it rains? If there is a bad storm, we cancel the trip and refund or re-schedule the group. Luckily, even in the rainy season it almost never rains until the afternoon and we are already on our way back to port.

Q - How much stuff can I bring on the boat? Within reason, as much as you like. Equipment for your Snorkeling Tour will be provided.

Q - How fast does the boat go? Our Catamaran has a top speed of 18 knots but we normally travel at 12-13 knots (about 14 Miles Per Hour).

Q - Will I get seasick? The Vision Catamaran is a catamaran that is one of the most stable designs for a water craft. The Gulf of Papagayo is known for it's calm waters. It is highly unlikely to feel seasick. However, if you are very sensitive to motion, you may want to take some Dramamine or something else that works for you.

Q - How many others will be on the tour with me? Our Catamaran is licensed for 150 passengers but we limit the group size to 85 maximum.

Q - Is there anywhere for me to take a shower? For your convenience, on the front deck there is a fresh water hose/showers.

Q - Is there a place for me to change clothes? Yes. There are 4 bathrooms on the catamaran.


CANCELLATION POLICY: A deposit of 20% of final tour price is required to book any tour and is non-refundable 72 hours or less before the scheduled tour. For private bookings, full payment must be received to confirm the reservation. Less than 72 hour cancellation results in loss of payment. Deposits can be made via PayPal with a credit card, or directly to your hotel or travel agency.
